TRC Reader Data Deletion
This page explains how TRC Reader users can request deletion of their account and associated data.
How to Request Deletion
You can request deletion from the TRC Reader app or by emailing Reading Circle 254 support directly.
In the app, open Settings, go to Privacy & Legal, then tap Request account deletion. The app opens an email request addressed to [email protected].
You can also email [email protected] with the subject "TRC Reader account deletion request". Include the email address used for your TRC Reader account so we can identify the account.
Account Deletion
When you request account deletion, we will delete or anonymize your TRC Reader account and associated app data that we control.
- Account details such as your name, email address, and account identifier
- Reading progress synced to your account
- App preferences and settings stored for your account
- Support records linked directly to the deleted account where deletion is required and technically possible
Data Deletion Without Deleting Your Account
If you want app data deleted but want to keep your account, email the same support address and describe the specific data you want deleted.
- Synced reading progress
- Saved app preferences
- Uploaded or imported reading content stored by TRC Reader, where applicable
Data We May Keep
Some information may be retained where needed for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, dispute resolution, or backup recovery.
- Records required by law or financial/accounting obligations
- Security logs and abuse-prevention records
- Backups that are overwritten or deleted during normal backup rotation
- Emails you sent to support, if needed to document and complete the request
Processing Time
We aim to respond to deletion requests within 7 days. Completed deletions are normally processed within 30 days after we verify the request. Backup copies may take up to 90 days to expire from our systems.
Local Device Data
Deleting your TRC Reader account does not automatically remove files stored only on your device. You can remove downloaded books in the app settings or uninstall the app to remove local app data from your device.
